Vide Apps ("we", "us", or "our") develops and operates the Shopping List: Grocery List mobile application ("the App"). We are firmly committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of our users ("User" or "you").

Local Storage Disclosure: All shopping lists, items, categories, frequent item statistics, and user preferences are stored 100% locally on your device (using device storage, LocalStorage, Preferences, and SQLite). We do not operate cloud database servers to host, transmit, access, or sync your private shopping list content.

B. Information Automatically Collected by Third-Party SDKs

While we do not collect personal information on our own servers, the App integrates trusted third-party SDKs to serve advertisements, display typography, and provide autocomplete word suggestions. These third parties may automatically collect device-level technical identifiers:

    • Device & Technical Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID), Android ID, Internet Protocol (IP) address, device brand and model, operating system version, system language settings, network connection status (Wi-Fi / Mobile Data), and mobile carrier.

    • The App first queries its built-in, on-device catalog of common grocery items completely offline.

    • To provide extended vocabulary and product suggestions, the App may make anonymous HTTPS requests to the public Datamuse API (https://api.datamuse.com). Only the partial search text string entered by the user is transmitted to retrieve spelling/word suggestions. No personal identifiers, user profiles, or full list contents are transmitted.

D. User-Initiated Communications (Feedback & Support)

If you choose to send feedback, report an issue, or contact support via the in-app feedback dialog or email:

    • Retention Period: Local data remains stored on your device for as long as the App remains installed, or until you choose to clear your lists or reset the application data.

    • No Cloud Hosting: We do not upload, copy, or retain your private lists on external cloud databases.

B. Third-Party Ad Network Data Retention

Third-party advertising partners (Google AdMob) retain device identifiers, IP addresses, and ad diagnostic logs in accordance with their independent privacy policies and applicable legal timeframes (typically ranging from 30 days up to 24 months for analytics, security, and fraud prevention purposes).

C. Security Measures

Because all list data is stored locally on your device, it is secured by your device's built-in Android sandboxing and OS-level security architecture. We recommend maintaining an up-to-date operating system and using standard device security locks (PIN, pattern, or biometrics).

7. Data Deletion & User Control Rights

You retain full ownership and control over your data at all times:

    1. In-App Deletion:

        ◦ You can delete individual items, clear completed items, or delete entire shopping lists at any time directly within the App interface.

    2. Clear Application Storage (Full Reset):

        ◦ Open your Android device Settings.

        ◦ Go to Apps (or Application Manager) > Select Shopping List: Grocery List.

        ◦ Tap Storage & Cache.

        ◦ Tap Clear Data (or Clear Storage). This will instantly and permanently erase all shopping lists, items, and stored settings from your device.

    3. Uninstalling the App:

        ◦ Uninstalling the App immediately and permanently deletes all local databases, preferences, and associated application files from your device.

    4. Ad Personalization & Privacy Controls:

        ◦ You can reset your Google Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time via Android Settings > Google > Ads.

        ◦ Users in applicable regions can update their consent preferences anytime via the in-app Settings > Privacy choices menu.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

The App is designed for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the European Economic Area).
